We are Vessi.
There is something really special about Nordic nature. Something magical.
Vessi comes from the Finnish word for water - Vesi
Here in the north we live much of the year without sunlight. When nature around us hibernates in autumn, several months of snow, darkness and cold await us. In spring, the days fill with sunshine again and the long-awaited light brings new life to plants, animals and people. Dark and cold winters are replaced by long days with all-day sunlight.
The climate full of contrasts provides very special growing conditions in nature, making plants extremely hardy. The sun causes plants to produce large amounts of nutrients, which protect them. These nutrients are not only a super-strength for plants and berries, but they also do wonderful things for our skin. And that’s where our story begins.
Vessi is a skincare line developed in Norway that contains pure extracts and oils from wild plants and berries from the Nordic wilderness. These ingredients are especially rich in nutrients due to their high content of vitamins, antioxidants, fatty acids and plant substances. We place great emphasis on purity and quality, choosing ingredients that are sustainably extracted, keeping their high content of active substances at their best.
Vessi combines the best of nature with science and technology in the laboratory, resulting in top-notch skin care. This produces effective products for various skin conditions while being gentle and respectful of the skin’s delicate pH balance. All products are enriched with the purest water in the world: arctic spring water from Finland.

Arctic spring water
Arctic spring water is naturally filtered through many layers of Arctic sand and clay and is considered the purest in the world. Arctic spring water also has a low pH and will therefore be especially gentle on sensitive or dry skin.
Birch tree sap
Birch tree sap has very nourishing and moisturizing properties and contains as many as 17 different amino acids, minerals, enzymes, proteins, antioxidants and vitamins. Birch sap contains, among other things, vitamin B3 and vitamin C, which reduce the visibility of scars and pigmented spots. It also has the ability to soothe sensitive skin.
Nordic Blueberries
Nordic blueberries are unique when it comes to nutrients. These small blue-black berries are packed with vitamins, powerful antioxidants, and healthy fats. They are particularly rich in vitamins C and E, as well as anthocyanins, which protect the skin from free radicals. Additionally, they contain natural fats that penetrate and nourish the skin.
Cloudberry
The Cloudberry from the Nordic region is packed with high levels of Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and omega fatty acids, which help the skin retain moisture. Cloudberries are also rich in a micronutrient called ellagic acid, which prevents the breakdown of collagen and elastin in the skin. This makes them suitable for all skin types beginning to show signs of aging, including sensitive, dry, and irritated skin.
Cranberries
Cranberries have the highest antioxidant content among fruits and are also rich in nutrients and fatty acids, which are fantastic for the skin. They especially contain a lot of alpha-linolenic acid, which is important for the skin’s barrier function. Cranberry seed oil prevents moisture loss in the skin, increases elasticity and reduces the visibility of wrinkles. Suitable for all skin types, but especially good for mature skin.
Sea Buckthorns
Orange berries from the sea buckthorn tree contain more than ten times the amount of vitamin C than orange and have a unique fatty acid composition. More than half is omega 7, which is a rare form, as well as other omega fatty acids that have moisturizing and softening properties. Sea buckthorn berries also contain vitamin E and other antioxidants, which protect the skin.
Red seaweed
Marine plants are among the most nutrient-rich sources available. This pinkish-red algae, known as Corallina Officinalis, thrives along coastal areas both in water and underwater. Commonly referred to as krasing, it is rich in calcium, which is essential for maintaining the skin barrier and promoting skin renewal. Red algae also contain high levels of vitamins and antioxidants that nourish and protect the skin.
